Abstract

Pendidikan Islam semakin lama semakin berkembang seiring bertambahnya imigran muslim di seluruh dunia termasuk negara-negara eropa salah satunya Belanda. Perkembangan sikap pemerintah Belanda mengenai pendidikan Islam dipengaruhi oleh aspek sejarah dan kondisi sosial budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang proses evolusi kebijakan pemerintah Belanda terhadap pendidikan Islam dan memberikan wawasan berharga mengenai sikap negara ini terhadap pendidikan agama Islam dan dampaknya terhadap keseluruhan sistem pendidikan di sana. Metode Penelitian ini adalah pendekatan study pustaka. Hasil penelitian mengambarkan dinamika kebijakan Pendidikan agama Islam di Belanda sangat di pengaruhi oleh  keadaan sejarah, sosial, dan politik negara tersebut.  Pada 16 dan 18 pendidikan Agama Islam tidak banyak perkembangannya karena jumlah penduduk Muslim Belanda  masih sangat terbatas. Pada Abad 19, pendidikan Agama Islam masih berpusat di mesjid-mesjid. Mulai abad 20, Pemerintah mengakui hak untuk mendapat pendidikan agama dan dan sekolah-sekolah Islam mulai di izinkan beroperasi di Belanda.
