The science of tafsir focuses on understanding verses of the Qur’an that contain moral values, ethics, and guidelines for human conduct. This work aims to explain the meaning of ethical verses, their interpretation according to scholars—especially in Tafsir Al‑Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab—and to outline the moral values they contain and their application in daily life. The discussion centers on selected verses, including Q.S. Al‑Qalam: 4, Q.S. Asy‑Syu‘ara: 137, Q.S. Al‑Ahzab: 21, Q.S. Luqman: 13, and Q.S. Al‑A‘raf: 56. The study finds that ethical teachings in the Qur’an cover three main spheres: the relationship between human beings and Allah SWT, relations with fellow humans, and responsibility toward the environment. Values such as faith, piety, honesty, exemplary conduct, compassion, and environmental stewardship form the foundation of noble character, as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Understanding and practicing these ethical verses is essential as a response to contemporary moral challenges and for fostering a harmonious, civilized, and prosperous life for individuals and society.
