TAFSIR AYAT-AYAT AKIDAH TENTANG TAUHID DAN IMAN

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of Qur'anic verses concerning aqidah, tawhid, and faith (iman) based on classical and contemporary Qur'anic exegesis, as well as to explain their relationship as the foundation of a Muslim's belief. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using library research methods. The data were collected from the Qur'an, classical and contemporary tafsir works, including Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir Al-Misbah, Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, and Fi Zhilalil Qur'an, along with relevant scholarly literature. The findings indicate that tawhid is the fundamental principle of Islamic creed, directing all acts of worship exclusively to Allah SWT, as reflected in Surah Al-Fatihah verse 5 and Surah Al-Ikhlas. Meanwhile, iman is not merely an inner conviction but must also be manifested through verbal affirmation and righteous deeds, as emphasized in Surah Al-Hujurat verse 15. The exegetes agree that tawhid and iman are inseparable, with tawhid serving as the foundation of faith, while iman represents the practical realization of tawhid in everyday life. Therefore, strengthening the creed of tawhid is essential for developing the quality of faith and moral character of Muslims amid the challenges of modern society.
