KAJIAN SEMANTIK DAN RELEVANSINYA TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN TAFSIR KONTEMPORER AL-QUR'AN

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kajian semantik dan relevansinya terhadap pemahaman tafsir kontemporer Al-Qur'an. Semantik dipahami sebagai pendekatan linguistik yang mengkaji msakna kata, relasi antarkonsep, perubahan makna, serta konteks penggunaan bahasa dalam teks Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan melalui analisis terhadap berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan penelitian terdahulu yang berkaitan dengan semantik Al-Qur’an dan tafsir modern. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kajian semantik memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam memperjelas makna istilah-istilah kunci Al-Qur’an seperti iman, kufr, rahmah, jihad, dan rizq. Pendekatan ini juga membantu menjawab problematika kontemporer seperti pluralisme, keadilan gender, moderasi beragama, ekonomi Islam, serta tantangan digitalisasi. Selain itu, semantik mampu menjadi jembatan antara warisan tafsir klasik dengan kebutuhan masyarakat modern melalui pendekatan yang lebih rasional, kontekstual, dan ilmiah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kajian semantik merupakan instrumen penting dalam pengembangan tafsir kontemporer agar pesan universal Al-Qur’an tetap relevan sepanjang zaman. Oleh karena itu, penguatan studi semantik perlu terus dikembangkan di lembaga pendidikan dan penelitian Islam.
This study aims to analyze semantic studies and their relevance to contemporary Qur’anic interpretation Al-Qur'an. Semantics is understood as a linguistic approach that examines word meanings, conceptual relations, semantic shifts, and contextual language usage within the Qur’anic text. This research employed a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing various academic journals, books, and previous studies related to Qur’anic semantics and modern exegesis. The findings reveal that semantic studies make a significant contribution in clarifying the meanings of key Qur’anic terms such as faith, disbelief, mercy, jihad, and provision. This approach also helps address contemporary issues such as pluralism, gender justice, religious moderation, Islamic economics, and the challenges of digitalization. Furthermore, semantics serves as a bridge between classical exegetical heritage and the needs of modern society through a more rational, contextual, and scientific approach. This study concludes that semantic analysis is an essential instrument in the development of contemporary tafsir so that the universal message of the Qur’an remains relevant across time. Therefore, strengthening semantic studies should continue to be promoted in Islamic educational and research institutions.
