PENERAPAN GUIDE READING AND SUMMARY PROCEDURE (GRASP) TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN SEJARAH KEBUDAYAAN ISLAM (SKI) DI MI AL-KIFAYAH PEKANBARU

The Study of the History of Islamic Culture (SKI) at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) has a very important role in shaping the character and understanding of students about the history and values of Islam. The study aims to determine whether the use of the guide reading and summary procedure (GRASP) improves the learning performance of Islamic cultural history subjects (SKI) in mi al-kifayah pekanbaru. Pre-experimental techniques used in this study. The population of this study is students in the fifth grade of MI Al-Kifayah Pekanbaru Pekan Baru school year 2023/2024, there are two classes, V A and V B, each with 22 and 24 students. The total population is 46 students. The researchers used purposive sampling techniques. The total sample of this study was 24 students. The results of data analysis show that the achievement of learning subjects of Islamic cultural history (ski), on the pre-test is X1 = 43,6 and post-test was X2 = 83,06. The result t-test value is (12,00) greater than the t-table value (2,075). This indicates that the zero hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypotheses (H1) are accepted. In other words, after the treatment, it can be concluded that the student's average initial test score is smaller than the average final test score of the student (53.67<83.77). This means that the use of the guide reading and summary procedure (GRASP) can improve the learning performance of the subject of Islamic cultural history (SKI) in mi al-kifayah pekanbaru.
