Abstract

This study aims to analyze how is the influence of independent variables namely health expenditure, infrastructure expenditure, income per capita, and the level of labor force participation on Human Development Index in 9 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, both partially and simultaneously. The analysis method used in this research is panel data regression (pooled data regression analysis), using data from 9 OIC member countries namely: Egypt,Indonesia, Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Ethiopia. The time data used is from 2010 to 2016. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the health expenditure variable has a positive and significant effect with a coefficient of 0.041, (2) infrastructure expenditure has a positive and significant effect with a coefficient of 0.01, (3) and income per capita has a positive and significant effect with a coefficient of 1.06. Whereas the variable labor force participation rate has no influence on Human Development Index. The conclusion of this research is that all the independent variables only one has no effect, namely the labor force participation rate. That was caused by lack of availability of employment in these countries
